Saltatempo is an organic restaurant located inside a small green area on the east side of Rome; the area, which was destined to disappear by being converted into a road, was saved by a social occupation in 1999.
The restaurant produce comes from organic and auto-certified farmers and are chosen by seasonality and in accordance with the km zero concept.
The dinner can be served inside or outside and always include vegan meals too. Every Thursday they offer a fixed-price menu made by a first and a second course with vegetables, a dessert and a couple of glasses of wine.
WHY IT’S ECOFRIENDLY:
– uses organic local food products
– collects waste and recycles
– most of the cleaners are organic
– promotes the public water consumption
